Freshly reaching level 70 in Season 15, Hell's Legacy, can feel rough. Your leveling gear falls apart, but the real target is not sitting in Torment 1. Clear the Den of Evil on Penitent once you are level 60+, open the Artificer's Pit, and finish tier 10. That unlocks Torment 1. Pick up enough 900 item power pieces to stay alive, then move on instead of waiting for rare drops. If one slot refuses to cooperate, D4 items can fill the gap while you shape a build around Soul Splinters. Torment 2 is the better staging ground, with stronger access to Ancestral gear, manuals, and restoration scrolls.
Torment 4 Is the First Real Checkpoint
Torment 3 is a bridge, not a home. If you can handle Pit 15, move through it and settle into Torment 4. This is where a loot filter saves real time. Chase the five-piece Set Charm bonus before worrying about good rolls. Salvage weak Charms at the Occultist for Resin, then use the Horadric Cube to reroll missing pieces. Through T4 to T6, rotate Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes, and War Plans. You will pick up Obols, Obducite, and useful bases while the build starts to feel steady.
Spend Materials With a Plan
Use the Cube wisely when materials are thin. A 900 magic or rare item can receive affixes, while a rare can become Legendary when an aspect is missing. Keep this routine in mind.
Spend Obols at the Purveyor on weapons for offensive aspects or boots for movement; skip amulets because their pool and cost are high.
Take Lair Keys to a boss tied to your missing Unique. Keys come from War Plans, Helltides, Legion Events, World Bosses, Whisper Caches, and the Undercity.
Farm Obducite before Masterworking, then use Neathiron at the Blacksmith when a critical upgrade hits the wrong stat.
Keep Defence in the Build
At Torment 7 and 8, loot changes again. Volatile Primordial Dust and Unique Charms enter the picture, but rushing ahead under-geared only wastes time. Check Maximum Life, Armor, and Resistances before swapping in a flashy damage piece. In many builds, extra life beats a little main stat on one slot. Keep refining affixes and Masterworking. You need a character that survives routine runs, not a paper build that clears one lucky pack.
Make Torment 10 Your Workhorse
Torment 9 and 10 are where the setup should come together. Aim for rank 25 Masterworking, reroll poor critical hits with Neathiron, and push the Pit to level up Glyphs. Torment 10 is usually the best farming home because the rewards justify the pressure. Torment 11 and 12 offer more experience and loot, but T12 needs a setup near Pit 100 or higher. Mythic Uniques and flawless Greater Affixes are not required. To fill a stubborn slot, compare D4 items buy with your current gear, then spend time fixing the build's weak link.
